Lyme Regis March 2019

During our return from a family party in Brighton we visited Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast for the day.  So refreshing that they cater for motorhomes in their  Charmouth Road car park.  Just £1 per hour and free 6 pm to 8 am.  No overnight camping but even so a town that is astute to its tourist base.

The Town

Lyme Regis itself is beautiful and, having been allocated a special spot we made the most of our time and spent money locally.  A 10 minute stroll down the footpath leading from the car park will tighten your calves and reward you with an amazing view of the Jurassic Coast.

Of course once there we indulged in some fossil hunting whilst marvelling at the marvellous March weather that quite frankly could have been August.

The fossils are everywhere in the rocks we had great fun finding them.  Truly an amazing place to visit.
