Motorhome Stopover Fraddon March 2019

One of our first pub stopovers.  We stayed at the Blue Anchor at Fraddon.

Essentially you park up overnight for free - although it is considered polite to eat or at least have a drink at the pub.

Anyhow we were given a warm welcome and told we could park either hard standing or on grass area at back.  Being early March and wet, and with storm Freya beginning to make her presence known, we did not want to chance our arm on the grass so plumped for the harder surface.

We did need to level but other than that all ok.

A pub stopover is just that, a place to park up over night.  No EHU or other site amenities,  in fact wild camping for the very lazy, with the satisfaction of supporting local business with no washing up!

Beautiful pub with a good menu and good selection of gins.  Even better was the bonus of 20 staggering steps and you were in your bed.   We had a wonderfully quiet night, sleeping right through storm Freya, although the gin may have helped!

Overall a great little pub with a warm welcome and good menu.  Convenient just off the A30 too.
