Our Favourite CL

We prefer CLs or certified locations, to the larger sites.  One of our personal favourites is Dunree at Delabole on the North Cornish Coast.


You will receive a really warm welcome from the owners who own a Moho themselves and who have worked really hard to make this a lovely site.   We usually opt for the hard standing pitch but grass pitches are also available.  As a CL only permits up to five vehicles at any one time this is a roomy CL.

EHU, toilet, shower and waste disposal available.  Stunning views of the local countryside with early morning sheep alarm call from the neighbouring field.

We usually go to the Poldark Inn for dinner.  If you are looking for Haute de cuisine then stop reading now.  If you are happy with basic pub grub (usually with chips) stay with me.  The Inn offers standard pub fare at reasonable prices.  You could drive (warning single track road) but we walk.  It takes about 20 minutes.  You will need a torch and nerves of steel as the road is unlit, narrow and the perfect backdrop for a vivid imagination in the dark.   If you don’t have a torch the owners will lend you one.  If you love guessing what’s that noise then you will love it.

Well placed for Tintagel and Delabole.  What makes it is the welcome

If you love quirky you will love love love  Henry’s  Campsite.  The most southerly site in the UK it is boho bliss. Relaxed, chilled with free range animals, fire pits and a stunning sea view.  If you like the ordered neatness of a club site, or are not so confident manoeuvring your home into non uniform pitches then best avoid.   But if like us you just want to chill, star watch and pretend the world does not exist outside the bubble you will love it.  A complete mix of tents, campers and everything in between all jumbled up into one happy family. Lizard  Village a mere 2 minutes walk with shops, pubs and restaurants.   You can hire a bbq or brazier, there is also a shop which sells everything you could possibly need.    Not huge amounts of showers or loos but atmosphere brilliant.  We found it quite noisy at night as our neighbours sat out until 3 am talking round their brazier - with noise levels rising as cider suppl...

Chedder 5th May 2019

Chedder  We managed a one night stopover at   Chedder .  A little bit pricy but sometimes when you are staying for a short time you want to know what you can expect. Anyway a cracking site, small by club standards but it is all about the location, location, location. This site is perfectly located for walking, yes walking to both  Chedder Town and Chedder Gorge -  no more than 5 minutes gentle,mostly completely off road,  stroll and you find yourself in the town.  For the more ambitious of you a further 10 minutes gentle exertion  will take you to the heart of Chedder Gorge itself.   Whilst we love our Moho there is often the angst and frantic internet searching to find out whether we can park nearby an attraction, so having the freedom to walk was perfect. We had a fabulous afternoon wandering around the Gorge, looking at endless tourist shops,  sampling the “only cheese claimed to be made in Chedder itself” ...
